We thought the holidays this year could use some extra cheer and comfort. Desserts and sweet treats tend to help with that, so we’re sharing a super customizable cookie recipe for celebrating the holidays. You can certainly change up the cookie decorations to reflect the appropriate festivities. Family and friends of all ages will enjoy making and eating these delicious cookies.
Be sure to make a few extra for a thoughtful homemade gift! You can purchase some basic gifting supplies from grocery stores, dollar stores, and craft stores this time of year. These places also have the candies and sprinkles to top off your cookies! Package the cooled cookies in a store-bought box or tin lined with colorful tissue paper. Cellophane or plastic bags are also a good choice, and you can tie off the bags with a holiday-themed ribbon. Additionally, you could use a large mason jar! Try to bake your cookies about the same size so you can stack them up in this rustic and fun presentation. Happy baking and gifting!

Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sprinkles (or mini chocolate chips)
- 1 cup M&Ms
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350F. Cream butter, oil and sugars. Add eggs and beat until fluffy.
- Add baking soda, salt, powder, vanilla and flour. Mix well.
- Fold in sprinkles. Use a cookie scoop to put on a greased cookie tray. Top with 4-5 M&Ms.
- Bake at 350 for 7-8 minutes.
